KCOS-TV along with Texas PBS Stations has begun airing the GED Connection series as part of the Texas Grad Initiative that helps Texans complete their General Equivalency Diploma. This 39-part series comprised of 30-minute episodes gives area residents the opportunity to earn a high school diploma before the dramatic changes in the 2014 test. KCOS-TV partnered with the El Paso Community College to broadcast GED Connection on Channel 13.2, EPCC-TV, beginning January 14, 2013. The series covers all the basic skills needed to pass the GED test and is available online. Students can register and choose to purchase workbooks, $15 each or $40 for the set of three by calling 1-800-228-READ.
