This event is free and open to the public!

Hi Neighbor! Join us at Be My Neighbor Day at ESC Region 19 Head Start for a free fun-filled family event! This event invites kids to learn what it means to be a caring neighbor. Meet your local community helpers, enjoy hands-on activities, and say hello to Daniel Tiger from PBS KIDS show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood!

Food Drive: 

Families attending the event will have the option to bring canned food and perishables that will then be donated to the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. Donation bins will be on site, plus ways for families to give monetarily.

Dental Health Packets with a message:

Each child will have the opportunity to decorate bags, including messages, and pack them with dental health tools like a toothbrush, dental floss, and toothpaste. The bags will be distributed to local shelters.

Thank You Space: 

Families will get the opportunity to express their gratitude for community helpers around El Paso. Families will color thank you cards for first responders, hospital workers, postal workers, veterans, sanitation workers, border patrol and more.

El Paso National Weather Service: 

This is a new partnership for PBS El Paso, and they will bring their bilingual team to Be My Neighbor Day. The Weather Service will teach weather safety tips to attendees and provide fun learning games to the children.

First Responders:

 fire department, police department and EMS to attend the event and bring their vehicles, so the kids can explore them and learn about safety .
