PBS El Paso inspires, informs and educates our viewers through quality educational programming; while producing superb local programs tailored to our community.


History:

Since 1978, PBS El Paso has been broadcasting non-commercial educational programs for the El Paso and Southern New Mexico region via KCOS-TV, Channel 13.

PBS El Paso provides viewers high quality programming including 12 hours of enlightening kid shows on weekdays. Plus an array of news programs, documentaries and performance based shows. It also produces several local programs such as High Q and The El Paso Physician.

Through direct transmission via Channel 13 and Channel 12 (cable), KCOS-TV reaches a potential audience of 2 million people in two states and two countries—Texas, New Mexico and the U.S. and Mexico. It has a 200,000 average weekly audience and a membership of about 2,000 people.
