Do the kids in your life love Curious George and Dinosaur Train on PBS Kids?
Well, they'll have a chance to meet them very soon!
Save the Date - December 2nd!
Don't Miss Our Annual PBS Kids Fiesta!
Join us for the 3rd Annual PBS Kids Fiesta presented by Kcos-Tv, El Paso PBS station and The Hospitals of Providence Children's Hospital on Saturday, December 2nd from 12 - 5 pm at the El Paso Convention Center.
It's a FREE, fun, family event!
You and your family can meet and take photos with PBS Kids favorites Curious George and Buddy from Dinosaur Train!
Enjoy lots of performances by local groups of all ages (list and times of performances will post closer to event).
PBS Kids Fiesta also hosts many interactive educational activities for kids and families to make learning fun! Many other local nonprofits, community organizations and businesses partner with us to host these activities.
For families with kids ages 0 - 8 years old, we will invite you to learn more about Start Smart Texas, a partnership of the Texas Education Agency (TEA), United Ways of Texas (UWT), Texas PBS and the National Campaign for Grade Level Reading, builds on national research to empower parents to help with their child’s success. By working with families, community leaders and schools we are building a team to help every child succeed in school and in life.
This goal of this initiative is to empower parents with tips that inspire positive interactions between caregiver and child to promote healthy brain development, early literacy and reading skills. Families that sign up for the texting program (sending educational tips and activities via text message) will also receive a free book.
And a special thanks to El Paso Live for partnering with us to bring this great event to downtown El Paso. After you enjoy the afternoon at PBS Kids Fiesta, we encourage you to stay downtown and see the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony (at 5:30 pm) and check out El Paso WinterFest!
Community events like this are made possible thanks to donations, KCOS members and sustainers and support from community partners and sponsors.
If you're interested in hosting a nonprofit or business booth at this event please email email@example.com for more information and a registration form.
We also still have a few spaces for local performing groups (dance, karate, folklorico, etc). If you're part of a group that would like to perform, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
